OFFICIAL: Kelechi Iheanacho signs new contract deal, Club Confirms.


Nigerian striker Kelechi Iheanacho according to reports from the official website of the Foxes has signed a long term deal that committed his future to Leicester City.

He signed a new deal that keeps him at King Power Stadium until 2024 season.



Iheanacho who was signed from Manchester City in August 2017, had an original contract with Leicester that would have kept him at the Foxes until the end of the 2021-2022 season.

Nicknamed 'Seniorman', at Leicester, Iheanacho was in brilliant form last month as he scored seven goals in four games and was named Premier League Player of the Month because of this recent form.



Commenting on his new deal, the former U17 World Cup Golden Ball winner said : “I can’t express how I’m feeling.

I’m excited, I’m happy, I’m overwhelmed! It’s a great moment and I’m happy that Leicester City gave me a new contract. It’s been a great time here.

It’s not been easy, but there’s a lot of people here that are good people, great people to work with.

They are nice people and they make me feel comfortable and welcome since I came in.

It’s been really great being here.

It’s like a family.

I’m happy being here and hopefully I can stay here many more years.”

The 24-year-old Nigerian striker has made 117 appearances for the club and scoring 32 goals in all competitions.
